Shawn Aiannia is a Registered Civil Engineer and a Registered Geotechnical Engineer in the State of California. He received his Masters degree in 1984 from University of Tehran and since then, he was involved in major projects in both structural and geotechnical field, both outside and inside the United States. Breadth of his experience includes structural and geotechnical analysis, geotechnical field and laboratory testing, with considerable experience of liquefaction and slope stability analyses, foundation engineering and evaluation of foundation deficiencies and implementation of retrofit methods. Since 2000 Mr. Ariannia was working in numerous geotechnical projects including educational, commercial and transportation projects in southern California. |

He also completed graduate course work in geotechnical engineering at Cal State Los Angeles. In addition, Mr. Steuer is also a Registered Geotechnical Engineer in the State of California. Mr. Steuer was employed with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works for 17 years where he headed the Geotechnical Engineering Section. He supervised and conducted geotechnical investigations for numerous public works projects and facilities such as bridges, dams, road, retaining structures, landslide repair, buildings, storm drains and channels. He also supervised engineering staff which reviewed plans and geotechnical reports for private developments in order to verify compliance with County minimum standards. Since 2008, Mr. Steuer has served as the Director of Engineering Services/City Engineer for the City of Rancho Cucamonga. The Engineering Services Department oversees Capital Project, Traffic Engineering, Land Development, Environmental Programs and the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Utility. |

mnoorzay@gmail.com Maihan Noorzay received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 2007. He is currently working on his Masters in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Mr. Noorzay is a registered civil engineer with experience in tract housing, forensic investigations, material testing, and landfills. Mr. Noorzay is an all-in-one soil professional that has managed soils laboratories, performed estimating, and prepared proposals. His experience ranges from site investigation, geotechnical design and soil report preparation to construction monitoring and compaction testing and reporting. |

Professional Experience Mr. Russell offers over 34 years of progressive experience as a geotechnical engineer for the development of retail, commercial, industrial, institutional and residential/resort properties. He has specific expertise in the assessment and selection of foundation design parameters for both shallow and deep foundations. Mr. Russell also has extensive experience with assessment and mitigation for construction on expansive soils, assessment and mitigation for construction on liquefiable soils, slope stability analysis and design of stabilization buttresses and management of large-scale earthwork projects. His grading experience includes large hard-rock sites where an analysis of the rippability characteristics of the rock was a key component of establishing appropriate development costs. Mr. Russell has also provided project management and technical oversight for numerous material testing and inspection projects throughout the United States. As Chief Engineer for PSI, Mr. Russell is responsible for providing technical oversight and report review for projects throughout the Western United States. He provides assistance to several branch offices on an as-needed basis, and provides mentoring to staff and project level professional team members. |

William A. Kitch is a geotechnical engineer with over 27 year of experience in the public, private and educational sectors. He served 21 years in the US Air Force as a civil engineering officer, retiring in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military service he directed the facilities engineering group at MACTEC Engineering and Consulting in Los Angeles, California. He is currently a professor of civil engineering at Cal Poly Pomona where he dedicates his time to developing future engineering leaders. Professor Kitch is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and California and is a graduate of the University of Illinois (BSCE & MSCE) and the University of Texas at Austin (Ph.D.) |
